About Kincaid Galleries
John Kincaid - Photographer
Unknowing at the time, John Kincaid began his path to professional photography at the age of 8 with his parent’s Polaroid camera. Whether it was photos of his family, friends, or just the dog in the backyard, John wanted to capture it all. And ironically, it wasn’t until his mid thirties (after 15 years in software development) that he realized that life shouldn’t constantly be viewed through or glued to a computer screen or phone. Time is truly the most valuable commodity we have and he wasn’t about to waste any more of his own….and so Kincaid Galleries was born.
The idea is simple: take the happiest, most enjoyable moments of a person's life and capture it in time forever. The caveat is that your memory isn’t a single shutter click on your camera … it’s a collection of moments remembered throughout a day or an entire stay.
Not one to wear his heart on his sleeve, Kincaid wears his heart -- or, rather, his philosophy – directly on his forearm. He sports an elbow-to-wrist tattoo that reads, “Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.” Translation: “I will either find a way or make one.” That sums up Kincaid’s approach to life and work.
