Ua Taha Te Mahana

Ua Taha is related to everything that comes to an end, and Te Mahana means end of day. Together this is roughly translated to “Journey’s End”. The St Regis Bora Bora is one of the most iconic resorts in the world and this image was one that has resonated with me personally. I will always vividly remember walking back to my villa, hand-in-hand with my wife at sunset seeing the full range of colors in the sky and feeling the warmth from the setting sun on my face.

My fiancée and I have never actually met John in person but we were hoping to have a photo shoot with him at the St Regis Bora Bora in May 2020 to celebrate our honeymoon. Due to the current situations with travel and the pandemic this is no longer an option for us. I reached out to John and asked if we could have a little slice of Bora Bora brought to us in light of everything that is happening right now. John was incredible to deal with, super helpful and took the time to really find out what we had wanted and also gave us great recommendations. Johns customer service, attention to detail and overall work is incredible and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend him for not only the images that he captures but also for the type of individual he is! Thank you John for making what has been a tough time for us a lot more enjoyable!

Class act

We met John on our recent trip to Bora Bora and found him to be an amazing photographer and even more important a great person. His prints are nothing short of spectacular and he goes out of his way to make sure the finished product is world class. I couldn’t be more impressed with him or the finished prints

A photographer's photographer

We were introduced to John by one of the staff at the St. Regis Bora Bora. I am a long-time hobbyist photographer, and John and I hit it off right away. We have since collaborated on some shoots and print work. Ordinarily, photographers don't buy other photographers' works. But John's work is exceptional, and we wanted to have it in our home even though we have hundreds of lovely images from BB of our own. He captures how it feels to be in Bora Bora, and that is a priceless asset.

Pictures even nicer in person!

I never saw this print in person but ordered it nevertheless. When I received my 45x30" print, I was amazed at the amazing contrast and clarity of the photo. I could not be any happier with how it looks on my wall! The pictures looks great online but it's even better in person. The photo gives the wall amazing depth as it draws your eye deep down the center of the boardwalk and on to Mount Otemanu off in the distance. Makes me relive my honeymoon every day; however, I now need to book a trip back to Bora Bora as soon as possible. Truly a magical place.

Gorgeous print takes me back!

I won this acrylic print through an Instagram contest and I’m so glad I did because everytime I see it it transports me back to my honeymoon at the St. Regis Bora Bora in 2015. Thank you so much John! It is stunning!
